Process Capabilities

Newcor employees are process driven, results oriented people who specialize in the art of machining steel and other materials that require tight tolerances. Since 1997, four commercial, specially equipped furnaces have been creating high volume parts essential for a variety of automotive-related components. In early 2015, a fifth furnace was installed, making our in-house heat treatment process even more efficient.

At Newcor, we believe in being proactive. We have implemented preventive maintenance teams at all three of our facilities. Our experienced team members take great pride in inspecting machines and processes before they break down. Our sophisticated testing equipment indicates what type of action to take before a machine starts to malfunction.

In our research, we also found that other manufacturing companies tend to pass on higher costs to the customer because they carry exorbitant inventory. So we asked ourselves, how can we carry less stock yet keep product flow steady? After our team of engineers, manufacturing associates and researchers studied and analyzed buying trends, inventory patterns, and cost breakdowns, we rolled out our Reduced Inventory Plan. Instead of seven truckloads of inventory coming out of our facility in one day, like some companies do, we opted to ship and receive one truckload every day, reducing total inventory in our buildings, keeping our supply steady but not excessive, while keeping material handling costs to a minimum.
